Mr. Jaidev Merchant

Jaidev Merchant is the founder Director of Aamirav Ingredients and Specialties Pvt. Ltd., which was established in 1991.

Jaidev worked for 14 years with a leading Public Ltd. Company, The Dharamsi Morarji Chemical Co. Ltd., in various departments before leading the Marketing of a Surfactant AOS being manufactured in India for the first time. He was also instrumental in convincing a leading MNC to use AOS in their different formulations., Jaidev has been a Member of the Raw Material Sub-Committee, Bureau Of Indian Standards’; ‘OTAI’ & ‘ISTMA’, during his stint with DMCC .

He has to his credit the development of marketing for many products and continues to work closely with leading MNC’s in the FMCG Sectors. Jaidev’s innovative ideas and concepts have established many products and benefited the usage significantly in saving costs and creating a market for the products. Many of the products which have been successfully marketed are Surfactants, Phosphonates, Polymers, Zeolites, Bentonites, Sodium Aluminates.

His innovative idea was successful for Milliken to establish their Polymeric Colorants in applications such as Detergent Bars and similar products.

One of the successes of market and business creation was when his company was appointed Sourcing Representative for Aroma Ingredients/Speciality Chemicals by a leading MNC for identification, evaluation, PRE-audits of companies from India for Global locations, instrumental in Business growing from USD 2000 to USD 15 Million and continues today. This includes Supply Chain to Asia, Europe, NA and LATAM. Jaidev with an experience of over 30 years currently heads Aamirav.
